Australian Patron  - Gavin Vickers

Gavin is a sought after speaker for his insight into what its like to climb the worlds highest mountains and succeed while many around him fail. As well as Mt Everest, Gavin has climbed several other peaks including:

  • Lhotse (8516m) Nepal (Expedition Leader)

  • Mt Cook (3754m) and several other 3000+ peaks in New Zealand

  • Lobuche East (6000m) Nepal

  • Ama Dablam (6756m) Nepal

  • Mt Cho Oyu (8201m) Tibet (Climbed without oxygen)

Gavin grew up in Cessnock in the Hunter Valley in NSW, Australia and became a patron after visiting the Umbrella children’s homes in Kathmandu in 2013. Gavin donates a lot of his free time to Umbrella Australia where he is actively involved with board meetings and decision making.
